Found in the Vedas, the Gayatri Mantra is one of the most beautiful and powerful mantras ever created, particularly  when it’s chanted by Deva Premal. The images in this video are stunning and together with the chant, absolutely awe-inspiring.

Here’s how to pronounce the words:

Oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ
(Om bhoor bhu-wah swa-ha)

tát savitúr váreṇ(i)yaṃ
(tat savi-tur varen-yam)

bhárgo devásya dhīmahi
(bhar-go de-va-sya dheem-a-hi)

dhíyo yó naḥ prachodáyāt
(dhiyo yo nah pra-cho-day-at)

This is the correct pronunciation to the best of my knowledge. If you can suggest a better one, please feel free to share. I’d love to hear it.
