Eagle as a Totem Animal
Of all the winged animals, Eagle flies the highest and sees the farthest. As a totem animal, Eagle is a messenger between humans and Great Spirit, and can be considered the equivalent of the Holy Ghost in Christianity. Eagle brings Great Spirit into substance and is the carrier of enlightenment, motivation, and illumination. Eagle is also the teacher of Individual Autonomy, Free Will, and Freedom.
